I am a board-certified internist and a clinical pain researcher. For over 30 years I have practiced medicine in Miami. Finding that current treatment options for the treatment of pain did not work well for most patients, I developed an innovative new treatment option to address various kinds of pain.
In recent years I focused my attention on the treatment of headaches, which led to the establishment of the Miami Headache Clinic.
Additionally, I am conducting investigator-initiated clinical trials for the investigational product I developed. I was motivated to develop an effective and non-narcotic treatment option for pain due to my inability to find an effective treatment for my own low back pain. This medication has shown promise in early studies in the treatment of multiple painful conditions.
